It was only as the COVID19 pandemic hit Australia early last year that a redundancy, failing job market and two completed PhD's led Adrian and I to take a leap and start our own company.
Flash forward to mid November 2020, after a whirlwind couple of months refining idea's and building prototypes, and we were pitching our concept "HoneySense" at the finals of the University of Adelaide's eChallenge (a competition for early-stage startups that’s run through the University of Adelaide’s Business School).
A nailbiting 3 weeks went by waiting for the results, but at the awards lunch on the 3rd of December we found out that we had done it! We had taken out first prize!
This year we will be residing at The University of Adelaide's Incubator, ThincLab, where we look forward to further developing HoneySense along with some other concepts we have in the works... watch this space!
